This page sets out what CuteNick cannot promise. The terms describe what you may do with the site; this is the other direction — the things that depend on your device, on a platform we have no control over, or on somebody else’s reaction to a name you picked here.

General information, not advice

CuteNick publishes nickname ideas and notes on what they signal. It is written with care, but it is general information rather than advice, and no page here promises a particular outcome. Nothing on this site is relationship counselling, and none of it should be treated as such.

A nickname is a social signal, and we do not know your people

This is the honest limit at the centre of the site. Every entry carries a note about how it tends to read — affectionate, teasing, a bit much for a new relationship. Those notes describe a tendency, not a rule about your particular person.

Whether a nickname is charming or irritating depends on tone, history and timing that we cannot see. Somebody may dislike a name we describe as sweet. That is not a defect in the list; it is the ordinary unpredictability of people, and no site can remove it. If a name is meant for someone else, their reaction is the only test that counts.

Why a styled name may look wrong on a screen

Styled nicknames are not images and not fonts. They are Unicode characters that your device draws with whatever font covers them. Where a character is not covered, the device shows an empty box.

That is font coverage on that device, not a broken name and not an error on our part. The same styled name can be flawless on a phone and full of boxes on an older desktop, and it can look different again to the person you send it to. When a style is known to be fragile, the page says so.

Platform rules change, and we are not told

Which characters a name field accepts is decided by that platform, and it changes without notice. A field that accepted decorated text last year may reject it after an update, and length limits are not always counted the way you would expect.

Pages describing this behaviour carry the date they were checked; after that date, treat them as a starting point. We re-check the widely used platforms periodically, but there is always a gap between a change and our noticing it.

Nothing here is a guarantee about your account

CuteNick is not affiliated with Instagram, Discord, Roblox, Snapchat, TikTok or any other service. Names are mentioned only to describe where characters do and do not work.

Each platform sets its own rules, including rules about impersonation, readable names and how often a name may be changed. Those rules govern, not this site. We cannot promise a name will be accepted, will stay accepted, or will not attract moderation, and we have no way to intervene if it does.

Names, real people and removals

Nicknames on this site are generic ideas, not statements about anyone. Any resemblance to a particular person is coincidental, and no entry is intended to identify, describe or characterise a real individual.

If something here does read as being about you, we will remove it — no argument and no requirement to explain yourself. Write to the address on the contact page. Requests about a real person take priority over everything else in the queue.

Links to other sites

Some pages link outward, usually to a platform’s own help documentation so a claim can be traced. Those pages can change or vanish after we link to them. A link is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for what is on the other end of it.

Availability

We try to keep CuteNick online and accurate, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Hosting problems and maintenance happen. If something is broken, telling us is the fastest way to get it fixed.

Frequently asked questions

My partner did not like a nickname from this site.

That is entirely possible, and no list can predict it. The notes describe how a name usually reads, not how one specific person will take it.

A styled name shows as boxes to my friend. Did it break?

No. The characters arrived intact; their device has no font for some of them.

My username was rejected. Can you help?

Only by correcting the page. The decision belongs to that platform, and knowing which field rejected it helps us fix what we wrote.

Where are the other policies?

Data handling is in the privacy policy, browser storage on the cookies page, and who maintains the site on the editorial team page. The generator itself is on CuteNick.
